Each state hosts a variety of events, including a boot camp for graduating students.

In NSW, there is usually an annual dinner featuring a prominent speaker, which is well-attended by CMDFA members. This event provides an opportunity to form new connections and catch up with friends within the community. NSW also hosts a number of fellowship nights, including visits from missionaries returning on furlough.

The Newcastle network group holds several events throughout the year, along with a mentoring program for students, while the Cooma-Canberra group organises an annual workshop event.

NSW 2024 Dinner

In 2025, CMDFA NSW was pleased to hold its annual dinner on 1ST NOV with DR JAMES WHITE.

We were delighted to have Dr James White, a CMDFA member and general practitioner, speaking to us about the joys and challenges of serving Christ in rural and remote Australia.

Dr White grew up in country NSW, studied medicine at UNE, Armidale and now serves the community in Glen Innes, with his wife and young family.

We heard about his heart for the gospel in underserved regions and how medicine and ministry are intertwined. We were also challenged to consider the roles we could play. A Q&A and panel discussion followed the talk.

The annual dinner was also an opportunity to celebrate the activities of CMDFA NSW in the past year and enjoy fellowship with friends and colleagues, old and new.

There was a small presentation for the graduating medical & dental students of 2025, welcoming them to the workplace!

As members of CMDFA NSW or registrants of past meetings, we warmly invite you to join us at our special events.

The southern QLD/Northern NSW group hosts several potluck dinners each year.

In Western Australia, the Coffee & Dessert nights, held four times a year, are popular, well-attended events among CMDFA members and their colleagues or friends.

South Australia offers a fantastic variety of events to cater to both regular members and newcomers to the fellowship.
